Dismissal Hymn for Monday in the
Fourth Tone.
Supreme commanders of the Heavenly hosts, we unworthy ones implore you that by your supplications ye will encircle us with the shelter of the wings of your immaterial glory, and guard us who fall down before you fervently and cry: Deliver us from dangers, since ye are the marshalls of the hosts on high.
Notes:
The date is the liturgical date and it changes in the evening, which is the beginning of the Orthodox Church day.
The Scripture readings are in Byzantine Notation, where they are read up to but not including the final verse number. Also, not all readings end at the verse breaks of modern Bibles; this is reflected with verses cited as 5b or 8c to show the proportion of the verse to be read.
The readings are given according to Greek usage with Slavonic usage included in brackets.
The Julian Calendar has been included because of its use in Mount Athos and the Patriarchates of Jerusalem, Russia and Serbia and may be of use to those faithful who intend to visit, or have contacts in, these areas.
